FINALIZED PS3 Launch Date for Europe

Yes, Brits, it’s true. While some of your Parliament members feel that “these hypnotic little machines” are destroying your lives, that doesn’t mean Sony can’t release the PlayStation 3 in Europe!

BBC News reported that The Sony PlayStation 3 will launch in Europe on March 23, 2007, at a price of 599 Euros. What’s that? You wanted the cheaper version? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA….sorry. At launch, only the 60 GB version will be out, with the 20 GB model to come a few months afterwards.

Now, if you’ll remember, the European launch was postponed after problems mass producing parts for the console’s Blu-ray disc drive. Of course, that was after numerous Sony executives stated that the system launch was “on track”. When a worldwide launch of November 17, 2006 was announced, it didn’t take long for Sony to push back the launch in Europe to March.

Well, its good news to Europeans who’ve been waiting since Spring 06 to pick one up. Even if they ARE paying more than North Americans (Euros are worth more than dollars).
